  • Mood can strongly impact on patient neuropsychology assessment performance.
    • At the start of the neuropsych assessment, an assessment of mood and affect (e.g. anxiety and depression) are frequently administered as a measure of test validity/task engagement.
  • Evaluation from a social care and nursing perspective is helpful to assess the support network available to the individual and verify that his or her expectations and aspirations are realistic and achievable.
