- Due to Long standing infection
- Aka Post puffy tumour: swelling and edema
- Mainly: stap aureus, staph epidermidis
- Imaging: bony reabsorption, periosteal reaction, contrast enhancement
- Treatment
- Antibiotics alone not enough
- Surgery to debride dead bone → 6-12wks antibiotics
- Cranioplasty 6 months
