- Timing of Surgery – The median time from onset to treatment for early surgery group was 30 hours (interquartile range, 16 to 49 hours)
- Volume of haematoma – All patients >2cm could be enrolled. Volume (IQR 24-60ml).
- Cross overs were not accounted.
- STICH II
- Large number of patients screened (3948 patients) – best motor score on the Glasgow Coma Score (GCS) of 5 or 6, and had a best eye score of 2 or more (ie, were conscious at randomisation).
- Range of volume of hematoma (10–100ml)
