Symptoms
- Usually are related to an acute onset of
- Spinal cord or
- Cauda equina compression,
- Back pain
- First symptoms
Investigation
- MR is better than CT for evaluating spinal subdural hematomas.
Treatment
- Conservative
- Indication
- Asymptomatic
- e.g., those that migrate from the intracranial compartment
- Close observation until complete resolution is recommended.
- Surgical decompression
- Indication
- Secondary cord compression
